1. Dorset Cricket Board director appointments process
1.1 The Board will review and agree the current board skill matrix and agree the need to appoint another board member.
1.2 The Nominations committee will review the requirements and the guidance provided in the Bye-laws. They will produce job descriptions, competence and experience requirements, application forms, timescales for appointment and determine the review process.
They will require any candidate to also provide a Declaration of Good Character.
1.3 The executive will advertise the requirements on the Board’s web site and any other media platform specified by the Nominations committee.
1.4 At the end of the agreed period the Nominations committee will review any applications received. They may setup interviews or reviews of the prospective candidates or recommend to the Board that the process is repeated. The candidates must be informed of the situation.
1.5 After the process has been completed as specified by the review process, including checking the references provided, the Nominations committee will make recommendations to the Board.
1.6 The Board will make an appointment or determine an alternative course of action.
1.7 If an appointment is made the candidate must be provided with a letter of appointment with the advertised tenure and follow the Board’s Induction process.
