Club Seminar a great success

Over 70 Club members crowded in to the new pavilion at Wimborne to hear the ECB Head of Club Programmes Dave Leighton give an inspirational address on the opportunities open to Clubs through NatWest CricketForce day and through many other ECB programmes open to Clubs. The evening was a busy one as Ally Jarvis the ECB Regional V Manager gave a talk on how to attract more volunteers to your Club and Chris Whittaker the ECB Regional facilities Manager also gave a talk on facilities and how to start a project to comply with ECB requirements to access funding. Keith Brewer the Director of Cricket development opened the evening up and introduced the guests who had travelled from far and wide to be there.
During the evening there was a draw to win £50 prizes for the Club and these were won by Ferndown/Wayfarers and Stalbridge. The prizes were supplied by Durant Sports one of the officiial NatWest CricketForce supporters. Also present on the night was Greg Blee from Wolseley and James Gregory who is working with clubs locally to help them raise funds. Feedback from the evening was very positive afterwards and Clubs were keen to take up the new opportunities.
