Time To Listen Courses
Time to listen is a 3 hour course designed for Club Welfare Officers. This course is a requisite for Clubs undertaking Club Mark.
The next Time to Listen course will be held in 2010 with a date yet to be confirmed. Anyone interested in attending the course should contact keith brewer on keith.brewer@ecb.co.uk and as soon as we have 10 applicants we will set up a new course.
Learning Outcomes from TTL
At the end of the course the participant will be able to:
- Describe those elements of legislation and government guidance, which are relevant to their role in safeguarding children's welfare.
- Define the specific roles and responsibilities of statutory agencies (Police, Children's Social Care Services and the National Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Children) and Local Safeguarding Children Boards and demonstrate skills in how they will relate to statutory agencies in individual cases of child abuse and poor practice.
- Clearly define the role and responsibilities of the Club Welfare Officer and its relationship to Designated Persons at National and/or County level.
- Describe how their role will work in practice.
