Dorset Cricket Board

Thank you to everyone that provided nominations for the Grassroots Cricket Collective Awards 2023, which aims to recognise and reward volunteers from the game of cricket. Winners of each category have been selected and provided to the ECB. The winners of each category will also receive a free ticket to the Dorset Cricket Gala Dinner and Awards Event 2023, taking place on the 11th of November 2023. The GCA category runner ups will automatically be placed into the Dorset Cricket Volunteer Awards 2023 nominations detailed below and have a chance of receiving one of the 10 free tickets to the Dorset Cricket Gala Dinner and Awards Event 2023. We will also provide 2 x free tickets to either a Somerset CCC or Hampshire CCC match in 2024.

Dorset Cricket Volunteer Awards 2023
We would like to recognise further volunteers where possible from the game of cricket and have opened up a chance for people within the cricket environment to nominate their volunteers to be recognised and rewarded. There are the Grassroot Cricket Awards that also recognises volunteers and the ECB Coach Awards that recognises coaches, so we are looking for those different volunteer categories that can sometimes get missed!

If you know of someone that volunteers their time in the cricket environment to make the experience better for everyone then please get a nomination in for them via the link below, this will only take about 5 minutes to complete. Do you have someone that has been invaluable in providing teas for the past season, or that special person that takes their time to come into the club to ensure the facilities are cleaned and ready to be enjoyed by the next group of people? There are plenty of roles that sometimes get forgotten and this is a chance to recognise and potentially reward them! Please use the list below to help you think of volunteers to nominate from the game of cricket:

- Volunteers on junior programmes, including junior co-ordinators, coaches, managers or junior supervisors
- Safeguarding Officers
- Fundraising co-ordinators
- Volunteer co-ordinator
- Groundstaff
- Tea makers
- Cleaning staff
- Bar staff
- Young volunteers

If you have someone to nominate then please do so via the link the below by Monday the 25th of September 2023 at 10am. 10 winners' will be selected from the nominations provided and they will receive a free ticket (plus 1) to the Dorset Cricket Gala Dinner and Awards Evening 2023 on the 11th of November 2023. The winners will be selected and informed shortly after the 25th September nomination deadline.
